Introducing Mac, Taylor and Dotty American Cockers

Owner: Jackie Price

Welcome to the home of Jaclee American Cocker Spaniels and Polish Lowlands.

How it all started

I first started showing 2 Afghans who were owned by a friend when I was 14. At the age of 15 I was desperate to own my own dog, my parents eventually gave in after a great deal of nagging, and agreed I could have my own dog. My dad thought an Afghan was far too big for me so I settled for a cocker spaniel. My first English cocker spaniel pup was called Ben. Ben and I went to many shows and were very successful but above all we had a great deal of fun together.

It was at one of these shows that I saw my first American Cockers two stunning black boys – it was love at first sight, I was hooked and from then on I looked into getting an American.

My very first American was a little black bitch bred by Kath and Allan Larder called Derlan Black Velvet.

I then purchased another black bitch from them called Derlan Determination and that’s when it all really took off. Kate was a stunner who gave me a great deal of pleasure and success. One of the most memorable times in my life with Kate was going BIS at the Great Britain Club with nearly 300 dogs entered.

Over the last 28 years I have had the pleasure of owning and showing some really great dogs. I have also had the pleasure of handling some wonderful dogs to their titles here and abroad.
